Stonewall Columbus was founded in 1981; during the course of Stonewall’s 39-year existence, Columbus and the LGBTQ+ community has changed. The City of Columbus is now the 14th largest city in the country and recognized as one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly cities in the United States. As the city has grown so has Stonewall's reach, now serving the Central Ohio LGBTQ+ community through our community center where we offer programming and services that enhance the well-being and visibility of our diverse community through discovery, affirmation and celebration in keys areas of identity, wellness, and education. In addition to a growing array of programming Stonewall produces Lavender Listings, a listing of local products and services from LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and organizations, and Columbus Pride; started in 1981 Pride now welcomes over 800,000 visitors to the Columbus region. We believe it is important to always remember our history as we build our future brick by brick; be visible, reminding the world that we are strong, vital members of humanity; be inclusive, because we know what it means to be left out; be connected, linking needs to resources and people to one another; stand up for everyone in our community, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, sex, age, race, color, national origin, religion, military status, familial status; or disability. Stonewall Columbus recognizes and embraces the fact that the LGBTQ+ community is diverse and it is important to accept that diversity making sure that all feel welcome.
Microsoft partners with Benevity to facilitate its donations. Your points redemption activity will be deducted from your account immediately. Within six weeks after the end of the month in which you redeem your points, Microsoft will make a cash donation based on your redemption to a donor-advised fund at the Benevity UK Online Giving Foundation (OGF), with a recommendation that they make a corresponding grant to your selected nonprofit organization. OGF will take exclusive legal control of Microsoft's donation on your behalf. Donation redemptions are non-refundable. If your chosen nonprofit is not able to receive the donation (for example, if it no longer meets the participation criteria), or if the donation is otherwise undeliverable, the cash donation will be redirected to a nonprofit of Microsoft's choosing. Non-profits are not endorsed by Microsoft.
