OGF će preuzeti isključivu pravnu kontrolu nad Microsoft-ovom donacijom u vaše ime. Otkupljene donacije su nepovratne. Ako vaša odabrana neprofitna organizacija ne može primiti donaciju (na primjer, ako više ne ispunjava kriterije za sudjelovanje) ili ako se donacija ne može isporučiti iz drugih razloga, gotovinska donacija bit će preusmjerena neprofitnoj organizaciji po izboru Microsoft-a. Microsoft ne podržava neprofitne organizacije.
